We are pleased to announce the 3rd Regional Roundtable on Digital Transformation for Advancing the WEFE Nexus in the Mediterranean, marking the conclusion of the regional consultation process and the final event of the PRIMA ACQUAOUNT project.
This science-driven consultation process—ongoing since 2024—has brought together decision-makers, experts, and practitioners to explore how digital transformation can enhance the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus within the Mediterranean Source-to-Sea continuum, especially under increasing climate pressures.
🤝 The consultation process and this final Rome Roundtable are facilitated by the PRIMA ACQUAOUNT, TALANOA-WATER and H2020 TRANSCEND projects, in synergy with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), OneWater – Committee Italy, IME, and with the support of PRIMA WEFE4Med.
🔹 Over 2 days, participants will:
- Review final results from PRIMA ACQUAOUNT Project and progress from related initiatives
- Discuss SWOT findings and policy recommendations for digital transformation for WEFE Nexus
- Contribute to shaping this thematic of the Action Framework of the Strategy for WEFE Nexus in the Med Source-to-Sea continuum
- Contribute to the technical processes of the 2nd UfM Ministerial Conference on Water and the 6th Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum (29 Sept–2 Oct 2026)
💡 The Roundtable builds on a Living Lab approach and aligns with regional strategic priorities, including the UNEP/MAP Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development (MSSD 2026–2035).
